THE HOMELESS VETERAN PROJECT

What I would like to do is stimulate people to be more conscious about their heroes who went to war for their country (America), and their national peace. On the other hand, American veterans were treated so badly by people who they had fought for. From the fact that American veteran is a part of culture which I have seen, I would like to create an art piece that could reflect this fact and respond to this reality by using GiJoe, an American soldier action figure that is not the American’s famous toy anymore to be the symbol of American veteran who has been ignored by American society and become a homeless person. Then capturing the picture of the GiJoe action figure with several locations of downtown Chicago where I normally have seen homeless people is the process that I am going to work on for making a creative final project.
