Spring is in the air here in Chicago and that means it's time to start planning for the Summer Intensive English Language Institute at Columbia College Chicago. This summer I plan to experiment with using Twitter in the Speaking/Listening class I'll be teaching. I'll use my Twitter posts to share American English idioms, slang and conversational phrases that I hear around me, with examples of how to use them.
I just figured out how to embed the feed from my Twitter posts (www.twitter.com/tbyrne) into the sidebar of this blog (it's on the left, just scroll down a bit to see it). What I really want, is to figure out how students can embed my, or other Twitter blogs into their typepad blog. I still have time to figure that one out.
